Parks & Recreation
The City believes that having activities in our parks is essential for the enrichment of the quality of life for our citizens and visitors. Presently the city has six parks, Moseley Park, Piney Grove Park, First Avenue Park, England Park-Blue Eye Trail, Randolph and Lincoln Park. Moseley Park is the older of the parks with a walking trail, baseball/softball field, tennis, basketball, pavilions and a toddler area. Piney Grove is primarily a small community park with basketball and a toddler play area. England Park-Blue Eye Trail is located in Old Downtown Lincoln this park has a walking trail with picnic area and the Blue Eye Fishing Trail. Lincoln Park facility supports a full compliment of baseball fields, softball fields and soccer field. This park also has archery with known and unknown target areas, along with two toddler play areas located in the baseball and softball field areas, and the state's only BirdieBall® golf course; a nine hole-three par course.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation is active in sponsoring the Spring Parade to open the youth sports season for: Youth Baseball and Softball, Soccer, Track & Field, Adult Softball, and Youth and Adult Basketball. Parks and Recreation also organizes Quarterly Senior Citizen Days, arthritis exercise classes, in-door archery classes and Taste of Lincoln. For the festive seasons Lincoln Parks and Recreation hosts the community Easter Egg Hunt, Haunted Trail Ride, Trunk or Treat and Christmas Parade.
