Proposed 2015 Zoning Ordinances (page updated 9/10/2015)
The following is a draft of the 2015 Zoning Ordinance that the Lincoln Planning and Zoning Commission approved and recommended for adoption by the City Council on July 21, 2015.
The following meetings have been held for the public's comment:
1. Public Input Meeting - June 11, 2015 5:30PM at City Hall. The purpose of this meeting was to present the proposed ordinance for review and comment.
2. Public Hearing - July 21, 2015 at 4:30PM before the Lincoln Planning and Zoning Commission. It was a formal Public Hearing, again to receive public comment. The P&Z Commission voted to adopt and recommend passage of this ordinance by the City Council, as amended at this meeting.
The Notice of Public Hearing and a copy of the proposed 2015 Zoning Ordinance is currently posted at City Hall, Lincoln Public Library and the Lincoln Post Office (a copy of which is below) announcing the formal public hearing before the Lincoln City Council to be held on August 11, 2015 at 5:00PM for additional public comment. The City Council may elect to adopt this ordinance at this meeting.
The Mayor, Council and Planning Commission hope that you will review the proposed document below and offer any comment to better improve this ordinance and our city. If you have questions or comments, please attend the August 11, 2015 City Council Meeting. Your input is always welcome.
UPDATE 9/10/2015: The Lincoln City Council unanimously adopted this ordinance on September 8, 2015. This ordinance upon publication as required by Alabama State Law.
